character areas - plan

To provide a framework that will guide future detailed applications for the site we have analysed Frome’s character and innovative and successful modern developments found elsewhere in the UK to establish a series of Character Areas for the development. The geographical extent of these areas is shown on the plan above and they will be subject to detailed design codes in due course which will ensure future developers adhere to the design principles we establish now, in the future. Details of each of the areas, the design principles adopted and the inspiration behind them is set out on the following pages.
